Q. How are ads displayed on this site?

Many of our ads are site-wide and some are page targeted ads such as the main page and articles pages. Site-wide banners can be found in the top banner of Hydroponics Dictionary and below the secondary navigation on the right hand side of the site. There are several main ads that can be purchased which are found on the main page. The article pages however work in a different fashion as the main page. The article pages rotate between five other advertisements, please note that Hydroponics Dictionary has over 100 article pages so do not worry about your ad not showing up.

Advertising is not considered accepted and banners will not be scheduled for inclusion until payment has been received and cleared and ad graphics have been approved.

Graphics:

The goal of web advertising is not to annoy readers but to get them to click on your ad and go to your website. Please keep that in mind when designing your ad banner.

Banners must be 468 pixels wide by 60 pixels high or the size that is displayed on the advertisement. Below is an example of one of our advertisements with the appropriate size.

Graphics should be correctly sized in .GIF or .JPG format. If simple resizing is required, there will be an additional charge of $10.00 per graphic. Hydroponics Dictionary will create your ad artwork for you at additional cost. DO NOT NAME THEM ad1.gif, banner.jpg, or the like. If you do, they might get lost or overwritten.
